Hi I’m Terra
After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Sport Science from the University of Wyoming I attended Heritage College gaining 1200 hours of training and an Associate’s Degree in Massage Therapy.
With the blessing of an amazing mentor, the beginning of my career in Oklahoma City was built upon the referrals of an orthopedic surgeon. People like to do crazy things on the weekend and I was there to fix’em up come Monday! I continued my education with Sports and Orthopedic injury classes from Boulder College of Massage Therapy and after 13 years had a wonderful clientele of people I had the privilege of helping!
When I moved to Lake Tahoe and and began working at an exclusive resort I recognized the opportunity to mesh that deep-tissue, no pain no gain attitude of therapy with the peaceful, calming and healing environment of a spa.
Although I have always tried to work with the body and let it be my guide by listening to it’s response through my fingers, the last 10 years of my practice has brought me to a deeper understanding of how important it is to first get the body in a place that will accept the work I do and be ready for healing. I work as hard on your comfort and feeling of safety on the table as I do the techniques applied to your tissues.
I have continued my education in recent years with Craniosacral Therapy from Upledger Institute and Frequency Specific Microcurrent with Dr. Carolyn McMakin. Both are powerful approaches to healing
